In 1950, Kurt Absolon is sitting in Café Raimund next to Hans Weigel, Herbert Eisenreich and others. Inside, the mood is one of euphoric optimism; outside, the signs are pointing to zero hour. Absolon's emotional world is seething. As a painter and graphic artist, Absolon left his mark on Austrian post-war art like no other.
